Phillip Underwood:
what we do        who we are
Consulting
epiK listens, learns and then responds.  Every organization, and even individual, has a need to be heard.  Many times, outside ears can hear without the prejudice of the prevailing ethos or pathology.
Because of this, epiK is uniquely positioned to provide insightful counsel based on a meta- approach to problem-solving, mission strategy and community purpose.
epiK takes an individual approach and not a 'one-size-fits-all' script to address your particular needs and focus.

Speaking
Corporations, community and service groups and even churches are finding that a word, in season, is exactly what they need to catalyze growth, movement and a corporate synergy.
epiK provides inspiration, education, engagement and energy to an event.  Working with you to determine the message you want to communicate or using one of our proven messages of timeless importance, you can be sure that when your event is finished, the movement has really just begun.

Seminars
epiK provides one to three-day learning events to communicate our signature themes -

Follow: An epiK journey in spiritual development.

3Three: Addresses three basic human dynamics necessary for productive living - security, identity and empowerment.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Change:  Need to address change?  Begin from the beginning, asking the question "Why change?" and end at the answer "Because it is life."  Your people will be change agents instead of change resistors.

Precatus Dei: A spiritual development experience in prayer and meditation.

Plus other custom seminars that are tailored to your particular needs and circumstances.
Family is important to Phillip and he is a proud father of three beautiful young ladies.

His oldest daughter, Andrea, is married to Andy McMahon.  Andrea and Andy are both leaders and influencers and you can follow their ideas and initiatives at www.shalomexistence.com (Andrea) and www.crucialencounter.com (Andy.) In addition, Andrea and Andy are involved in an inner city faith community called Peculiar Place in Atlanta's historic Old Fourth Ward.

In October of 2009 Andrea and Andy became parents of the wonderful Gemma Auden McMahon, Phillip's first grandchild.

Alexis is 20 and a student in a state university and Amanda is 18 and finishing her senior year of high school in the metropolitan Atlanta area.

Phil's parents, Rev Roland Underwood and Dr Maire Phillips Underwood, were pastors and community leaders for much of Phil's childhood.  His dad went on to build and consult with churches and pastoral leaders across the Southeast, breaking racial and denominational boundaries that had stood for generations.  Phil's mother is still active in community service and personal ministry through her work as a counselor and psychologist.
