Certain (?)!!

Your greatest asset going forward is to discover how to live certain of your purpose and core desire of accomplishment and life impact.

My question, almost every day, is what I am doing and how I am doing in generosity of spirit; being a helper, a caregiver, a teacher, a mentor, a sent one, and a true friend. Why? I want to make a positive difference, be a godly influence, and be a Jesus person.

As a high school student, I wondered about life ahead. What did I want to do, be, and accomplish? I felt it was in my heart to communicate what is essential to people. At the time, I thought that meant being a journalist. However, I did not have the confidence to pursue that path. I had a great mind but was not a great, or even good, student.

I felt I had a natural gift as a communicator. I interpreted that as taking important information, distilling it, and then explaining a big idea in sound bites. Little did I know, in June 1977, how God would shape my life as a continual student, learner, and communicator of the most vital information for a complete life.

Learning is a joy to me. It employs my mind in beautiful ways. I have captured it in this phrase: “Learn it. Live it. Leave it with others.”

Nothing I learn is to find its end as if it is solely for me. I want to find a way to give it if I receive it. God uses my desire to grow and flourish to pursue, learn, and discover. The discoveries I make and the revelations given to me manifest in my purpose to share what I learn with you.

Looking back, here are five BIG IDEAS of my life purpose that I believe (with all my heart and soul) to benefit others. I want to encourage you to discover and communicate yours.

1. Jesus is the Real Deal. If you want to know more about Him beyond the stoic religious symbols, follow me, ask me, get close to me.

2. Life is Precious. It is beyond valuation, comprehension, and understanding… yet only preparation for LIFE in the eternal, grander sense.

3. God is Bigger than me, knows more than me, has no ill will toward me, and seeks to reveal Himself to me in the person and ways of Jesus, the Christ.

4. Caring for your soul/heart is life's most prolific decision and discipline. You will never fail if your soul (mind, will, emotions) prospers in continual growth and advancement from God’s wisdom and knowledge. It is guaranteed.

5. You are amazing. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of your Creator and offered a way to fulfill your destiny and live your ‘Why?’ by receiving His new life in the Spirit. That decision, free to be made by you, empowers you to express the life you are born to live creatively.

So, I am sure I will live the remainder of my days spreading my sense of certainty through the certainness of being a storyteller and truth pursuer.
