Do you have any bad habits?
Do you have any undesirable habits that aren’t necessarily bad but you don’t like?
What good habits do you have?
There are a few habits that you and I share.
◦ Eating
◦ Brushing your teeth
◦ Bathing
◦ Sleeping
◦ Picking your nose (you, not me!)
◦ Looking fabulous
What are habits besides repetitive behaviors?
How do you create a new habit?
I once read that it takes 21 days to break an old habit or to establish a new habit. What do you think about that? Can we redirect our lives by following through on self-made decisions based on solid information that has proven to advance and improve our lives.
What are the key factors that I will help you employ?
Focus on ways, not goals: While goals give direction, it’s the way of life (daily habits and processes) that leads to results. Good habits create long-term success.
Be patient: Results take time, and habits often take a while before producing noticeable changes. Don’t be so comfortable in your current habits that you forfeit your better life.
Small changes add up: Focus on making small, manageable improvements rather than aiming for massive, overwhelming changes all at once. It really is true that little things matter more than seismic changes.
I am going to teach you four habits for spiritual awareness and strength, followed by six habits for soul prosperity and personal success. These habits will have an immensely positive impact on your personal effectiveness and self-confidence. I will encourage you to cultivate spiritual habits first because the source of life is the presence of the Holy Spirit in your spirit. If we work on our psyche first, our source will be different. You can, but in my opinion, it’s just not smart.
Look at what Jesus said about our finding the Holy Spirit as our primary source, “When the Companion comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said. He will honor me; he will take from me and deliver it to you. Everything the Father has is also mine. That is why I’ve said, ‘He takes from me and delivers to you.”
For the rest of this calendar year, let's focus on these habits that will enhance our lives, improve our focus, and increase our courage. Watch this space for more.
